Although I make every effort to explain my findings in plain English, in my reports and our discussions, the results of complex and comprehensive evaluations can be challenging for parents to convey to school personnel. I have experience working with schools as an independent evaluator and as a member of school based multidisciplinary teams, and can help parents negotiate putting my recommendations into place at school.
I have a large and growing network of speech therapists, occupational therapists, tutors, psychologists, psychiatrists, advocates, and other professionals to whom I can refer your child if necessary.
After the evaluation is complete, family members are often in search of information about a child’s area of difficulty. I consider it very important to provide resources such as books, websites, and support groups for parents to learn more about how to best help their children.
